The colossal canine plays a starring role in the new music video for the song ‘Every Dog Has Its Day’ by Boston-based hip hop duo Usual Suspecktz.

The rap pair visited dog breeders, Dark Dynasty K9s HQ in early November 2018, with the shoot featured in the second episode of season three of Barcroft TV’s digital reality series Dog Dynasty.

The show follows the fortunes of Hulk and the other DDK9 protection dogs and has racked up more than 150 million views on YouTube and Facebook.

And Hulk almost proved too much to handle for Usual Suspecktz members Bobby O and Medisin, who were pulled along the driveway when the 175lb giant took off after a stray tennis ball.

Dark Dynasty K9s founder and Hulk’s owner Marlon Grennan, 31, told Barcroft TV: “That’s what we call mountain skiing!”

Bobby said: “Trying to hold on to Hulk is crazy, man, it’s like a truck pulling you. He almost killed Medisin!”

The song was written by Usual Suspecktz’s member Bobby O and was inspired by Marlon’s rags-to-riches story.

Marlon built up his dog breeding and training company from nothing and now sells his dogs for between $5000 and $25,000.

Grennan said: "Hulk’s fame means he’s constantly in demand, but I’ve actually declined other rappers to have my dogs in their video.

“But Usual Suspecktz are like like family to me.

“Hip hop is all about confidence, about being the biggest and the best – and that’s Hulk."

Bobby added: “The song is about how Marlon came up. I’ve been around since the first litter and it’s inspiring to see how well he has done.

“And there was no question, we had to have Hulk in the video, he’s the king.”

The music video features Grennan’s Shelby GT 350R, nicknamed “Eleanor”, which is worth upwards of $65,000 and has its own Instagram handle.

Bobby and Medisin also decided to brush up on their sharp shooting by firing off some rounds on the DDK9's property.

And owner Marlon and trainer Jeff Cummings took the opportunity to expose one of the younger pups, a female named Nicki Minaj after the pop star, to gunfire.

Bobby said: “The scene went well and Nicki Minaj, she was very calm, she was very cool up there.”

Speaking after watching the final video, Marlon said: “This year has been one of the most difficult of my life and it’s an honour to see part of my life story unfold in a video with people I care about very much and who I think are going to be making a big name for themselves.

“There’s so much history in there, that’s what family is about.”
